About Tahir Butt
Tahir Butt, London-based entrepreneur and property developer, is the director of Ipsum General Trading FZE, a company which he founded in 2015. The business is involved in commodities trading, the wholesale import and export of electronics, and the wholesale of IT components on a B2B basis. Tahir’s exceptional communication skills have proved fundamental in securing wholesale B2B deals for the business.
Tahir also previously established Ipsum Developments Ltd., which deals with property development and construction, selling his interest at the beginning of 2020. Tahir himself has a longstanding passion for these industries and has undertaken many development projects across the UK, including the recent construction of two homes in Croydon. The work of Ipsum Developments Ltd. takes in every stage of a project, from the initial site analysis and application for planning permission through to the construction itself, and the company has built up a solid reputation amongst its high-end clients.
As a staunch believer in the power and potential of cryptocurrencies and Web3, Tahir has invested in crypto start-ups and emerging altcoin projects. He was a seed round investor in the innovative new game Metarun, which is the first competitive, character-based tactical mobile runner game in the world. Players select an NFT hero (each of which is utterly unique) and maintain ownership of their own in-game assets. Skins can be traded, used, sold or lent. Plus, there’s the opportunity to earn in-game rewards by completing missions and daily challenges or competing in intense, skill-based battles.
Tahir is a highly motivated IT graduate who relishes a challenge. He loves learning and developing new skills and has a talent for communicating with people at all levels to boost sales. His logical, analytic approach is complemented by his creative flair and innovative problem-solving skills, and he works tirelessly to not just meet but exceed his personal and professional goals. Outside of work, Tahir is a keen gym-goer and also enjoys boxing and practicing MMA (mixed martial arts). The latter is a full-body contact sport based on grappling, striking and ground fighting that incorporates techniques from a variety of combat sports from around the world. During his late teens, he gave many demonstrations as a representative of the London School of Capoeira Heranca. Tahir is also passionate about travel and has visited locations across the globe, including Spain, Denmark, Florida, Oman, China, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and the Seychelles.
